The World's Best Running Shoes?

I've only used them once so far, but these shoes are so good. Vibram Five Fingers are really comfortable, but in a scottish winter they don't quite cut it. I went for a 10k in the snow this morning in these and it was like running barefoot with magic insulation and sole protection. Last Friday, before I bought these, I ran the same route in my conventional running shoes and got blisters and really sore knees - it was like running in high heels.

I don't normally do product endorsement - usually just out of production cameras (being an anti-capitalist with consumerist tendencies), but if you're into running I can recommend these babies - "Merrell Trail Gloves". I'll run something that's rougher underfoot on sunday and report back, but somehow I think they'll cut the mustard ...
