No smoke ...

... Without fire? Like most common sayings (the camera never lies for instance) it is at best half true. We had smoke without fire tonight when I tried to melt chocolate in the microwave. Amazingly unpleasant and ineffective. We also had a bit too much smoke with our fire; may need to get the chimney man in to stick his brush up my stack (as Benny Hill might have said). But a glass of beer in front of a log fire .... Ah .... Can't be beat.

Finished work at gone midnight last night. Then got up and started again at half past six this morning. Downed tools at 7pm. Cats enjoyed having me and (most of the day) TSM at home.

So glad it's the weekend.
