Peacock on the drumstick

Today's the day ………………………. to venture out

It was such a sight for sore eyes to see this peacock butterfly today, flitting about in the sunshine.  It must be this warm weather that has persuaded it to venture out quite early I think.

I went into town today to do what I intend will become our once-weekly shop.  It was all pretty quiet in the streets.  I had to queue to pick up a prescription from that well-known chemist (see extra) but that was alright.  Slight problem with people in the queue knowing their neighbours, resulting in a bit of non-two-metre-apart chatting.

There was only me and a couple of others in the small supermarket.  There was a restriction on buying 'one only' of the basics - but it was possible to get most things.  I didn't linger. My list was not long because I've decided that this is the perfect time for us to go on a bit of a diet.
