Benjamin Jesty
Here in this churchyard in the little Dorset village of Worth Matravers is the grave of Benjamin Jesty . He was a farmer in Yetminster in the 18th century notable for his early experiments in inducing immunity against small pox using cowpox - an interesting story in the history of medicine .!
