Jasper At The Gates of Dawn

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

Jasper howls to go out as soon as I get up now. But I make him wait. I don't like the idea of him being out when it is still dark.

However, you see him here just before 7am, wandering off with his leash on. I was feeding the birds and caught up with him later.

We now seem to have settled into something of a routine. I get up and feed the cats, then watch telly on the couch for an hour before going online with work. Tanvi and Smock usually check-in with me around 8am just as if we were greeting each other at our desks and then I putter with spreadsheets.

Around 9, Caro comes down and I make her breakfast and then it is undemanding programmes on the telly. The sort of thing you can half-watch while you VLOOKUP data.

Caro thinks she has a cold which she picked up at the (VERY BAD WORD) doctor's surgery last week. I have been administering tea and toast and she seemed to improve by the end of the day. At least I hope so, or I will have to throw her out and burn all of her belongings.

And now I type this and it is the next morning. The birds are looking for food, and Jasper is waiting at the back door. Here we go again.

S.
