CV measures #6

Drone fly
It has been another lovely day in the U&L household most of which has been spent in the garden with the buzzing of bees and these cheeky little drone flies Eristalis tenax, in equal measure.
Called the 'Drone ' fly because they mimic the male honey bees or drones, these territorial little hover flies buzz round your head ceaslessly given a chance. Luckily this one stopped on a twig in the sun for a quick freshen up and I was able to get a few shots before he took off again.

Grateful today for the sound of buzzing... something I have missed the last few months.
The wonders of Face time - it is so nice to be able to see my children and grandchildren.
