Perched on high
Wednesday 25th March 2020 (backblip)
My lovely Hubby is definitely 'a keeper' ....... he did all the shopping on his own this morning so that I wouldn't have to run the risk!
He nipped to Tesco for a few bits ...... nothing there seemed to be controlled at all ...... nothing done to make sure people were keeping a safe distance ..... he said it was horrible! He got out of there are quickly as he could! Shame on you Tesco!
He then went to ASDA for the majority of our shopping ...... what a difference! The had one door for 'In' & one for 'Out' ..... somebody on the door to restrict the number of people in the shop at any one time & to make sure the ones waiting to go in were keeping a proper distance apart. Once inside there were arrows on the floor ...... they had created a one-way system round the store so there was no need to pass close to anyone else. There was also someone on duty to make sure the correct distance was maintained at the checkouts! Hubby also managed to get almost everything we needed!
Hat's off to ASDA! Keep up the good work!
He then fetched the prescriptions from Boots ...... who also had a similar system in place! Hat's off to Boots too!
This meant that we had the afternoon to ourselves ....... the sun was shining ...... the sky was blue ..... it was even quite warm!
We went up the road & round Pioneer & Beech Wood for a lovely wander ...... we were out for almost 2 hours! We saw very few people & most were keeping a good distance!
As usual we saw lots of bird life (as blipped) ...... can you spot the Long-tailed Tit? We saw several Small Tortoiseshell butterflies & even a Brimstone too .... though that one didn't hang around for a photo shoot!
I also finally managed to get a reasonable shot of the Cowslips ..... this time they did stop waving to me if only briefly!
Hope you are all staying safe ...... take care!
