From a distance..........

Out early to get to M & S for the 8.30 opening  hours for the over 70's shopping slot. ( but only on a Monday & Thursday) We got there about 8.15, and customers were queuing outside( the obligatory 2 metres apart.)  J & I both wore our masks & gloves, and at first i did feel a bit silly, but then I thought, better to look silly, and stay alive. They opened the doors early, and I couldn't fault the  way M & S are handling this crisis.  We did the shop in double quick time, and the staff were exemplary.By the time we left the store they were letting people in on a one in one out system, and we were on our way home in under half an hour. I took this blip from the car on the way home. We stopped for petrol, and J put on the gloves provided and went into pay with his mask on. The assistant said he was the only customer she had seen use the gloves provided. Apparently you can pick up the virus from the petrol pumps, so take heed. We spent the afternoon in the garden, enjoying the sunshine, although that isn't going to last much longer. Hope you are all safe & well.
