Red Lily Beetle
I spotted this beetle on the Snakes Head Fritillary. I have never seen one before. Maybe not something I want to see thinking about it.
I have added 2 more images one of the beetle on the Fritillary and the flower and bud. Below a bit about it.
The scarlet lily beetle, red lily beetle, or lily leaf beetle, is a leaf beetle that eats the leaves, stem, buds, and flowers, of lilies, fritillaries and other members of the family Liliaceae. It lays its eggs most often on Lilium and Fritillaria species.
