Life in the time of Covid 19 Day 1

Today is our first day of lockdown in New Zealand and our 4th day of being stranded. We are in a good place having been handed the keys to a beautiful house on the beach in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. Thank you MnN
I spoke to our travel agent, he says we are booked for 31st July but l am sure it will be considerably earlier. The weather is good 19° and sunny today. We have started a routine, breakfast on the terrace looking out to sea, a bicycle ride in the early morning, a walk along the beach later, depending on tides. I am allowing myself 2 what's app chats a day, this morning one to middle son in London and one to a friend. I laughed to find out that our 3 sons had been having conferences about us and what they thought we should be doing (staying in NZ) and were cross when we briefly thought to return home. We were labelled "wayward and willful", l loved it, now that l have a label l find myself duty bound to live up to it!

Ordered some hand sanitizer online yesterday and it arrived this morning, it smells rather lovely.
Afternoon will be spent lazing as it has clouded over a bit.
