Early evening light...
...through the trees.
A frustrating hour this morning trying to arrange an on-line shopping order, without success. No joy at Sainsbury's, which is reserving delivery slots for those identified as over-70 or vulnerable. That's how it should be, so fair enough. Click and collect then? Nope, no collection slots available in the next 3 weeks. Tried Tesco too, but nothing doing there either. Did manage to put in an order with a local potato company - for the foreseeable future, they're delivering basic food packs. Eggs, milk, bread and, of course, a bag of their spuds. That'll keep us going nicely, and anything else will have to come from the local Co-op.
MrM and I walked for exercise today - warm and very pleasant to be out. We left it until late afternoon, and went up past Kettles Fort and through the woods at the far end of Wooler Common. No red squirrels, but we spotted several deer, hares and, on the boggy ground not far from the Pin Well, lots of frogs. We saw no-one, apart from a lone cyclist, until we got back down in to Wooler. The penny's beginning to drop - others seemed as keen to stay at a distance as we were.
Lockdown, day 2
