Day three

Today we got up, dressed, ate breakfast etc and then tuned in to do the Joe Wicks PE lesson at 9am. I enjoyed it, but the girls were reluctant to join in. We'll try again tomorrow.

After that we did a 'House party' call with I&B's little friends which they enjoyed. We then did crafts. We painted the big stones for the garden all over in white as a base coat so we can paint pictures on them next time. B also did hand prints on a dozen blank cards to be used as thank you cards.

We had lunch in the garden and then walked to the pond (our daily exercise) and fed the swans some bread and looked at the very plentiful frog spawn and tiny tadpoles around the edge of the pond. It was a lovely walk in the sunshine and so many spring flowers and blossom on the trees.

After lunch I did some more raking up of stones in the garden while the girls pottered around. They were quite tired by this point so they watched Mary Poppins Returns while I got dinner ready and tidied up.

It was a nice day. Having nothing to do is good in a way as there is no agenda or rush. The lovely weather is helping a lot.

John went to work and there seems to be no plan to close site now. He said he was able to stay 2m away from people at all times and they are finally taking distancing seriously now.
