Diary of an Edinburgher

Haircut!

Robert appeared this morning to take Archie on his (Robert's one walk of the day). Good. We got on with putting on the newly washed sofa covers, and boy - that's like a workout. The second sofa's coverings were washed and hung out and dried.

JR has moved her workout spot to the back bedroom, which is now the 'gym'. My new cross trainer/bike will make a splendid addition. I did my half hour on the bike.

The three wee kids from upstairs were playing out in the back garden this afternoon. Good. It must be hard with kids stuck in the house.

Chris, our neighbour, was going round to the shop, and came to see if we needed anything. 'Hot Cross Buns, please!' Hardly essential, but he got them and they are scrumptious. Elizabeth brought chicken supplies for us and Master Archie. He doesn’t really like his new kibble, so requires a few shreds of chicken mixed in.

This afternoon I worked up the energy to give Arch a long-awaited haircut. Gosh he was very hairy! A few reminders here.

And I won’t be getting back into my jim-jams till bedtime. Mustn’t let standards, such as they are, slip further.
