Worlds within...

This is our upright piano—which started life as a player-piano that was later outfitted with full piano wires—along with the picture that hangs over it. The etching is by Beth Van Hoesen and portrays her husband, Mark Adams, sitting in front of their upright piano with a portrait or self-portrait hanging behind him. (He too was an artist: he did the bowl of fruit hanging behind the flowers in my March 20 blip.) I didn’t know either of these San Francisco artists personally, but I like the artworks both of them made.
