Splendid isolation

A day of tootling at home in the morning, including a visit by the chimney sweep, the last possible day until who knows when. Then in the afternoon Simone did shopping for an elderly friend, himself went on a walk ( check out his blog, hikelines.com, he's keeping a kiwi diary); and Joe, Esme and I went to Patons Rock for a bit of sandcastle activity. As you can see it was rammed. Fortunately we have places to escape to if necessary.
Our first solo stint at grandie duty tomorrow, an early night will be required!
