Lockdown
Day 1 of seddon homeschooling.
This morning we did PE with Joe wicks (& 800,000+ others!) via YouTube. I was not very good at it - hoping to improve, Thomas was very enthusiastic but shattered by the end of 30mins!
Next was maths - working through the book Thomas has brought home, he finds it very easy.
After a snack and a break outside in the sunshine, Thomas wrote a story about Sidney the shark, and Chloe had a snooze (homeschooling Thomas is very tiring!)
I nipped out to Iceland to get some more milk, and pick up some bread and paracetamol for the isolated. Dropped it off on their doorstep and then retreated to the car, where we had a brief shouted conversation. Dad seems OK, still coughing but managing, mum and Martin still well. Iceland is definitely the place to shop at the moment, very quiet, full shelves, people at checkouts maintaining the 2m distancing.
Thomas had lunch and more football in the garden, followed by spellings and a wordsearch before yet more playing outside, another snack (he will eat us out of house and home whilst he's not in school) and writing in Thomas's diary.
Ben spent this afternoon making a start on the hedge cutting, it looks so much better now and its not even finished!
Meatballs for tea which went down very well, then bathtime, and we watched a quick episode of Wallace and gromit before bed.
Day 1 home schooling went very well. Fingers crossed it continues to!!
Boris delayed his address this evening until 20.30 and unsurprisingly announced that we are now in lockdown. Although this step was definitely needed given that the British public don't seem to be able to stay at home (or even just 2m apart!) it does feel weird.
Ben still has to go to work tomorrow where there will be a briefing discussing next steps for them, and I go back to work a week tomorrow :(
