Mothers' Day 4 - Lisianthus

Another flower from my bouquet.

Our morning was spent trying to get a special delivery pass from Sainsbury's. The Man had been sent the email telling him he would get a priority slot but the phones were cutting off time and time again.

What was worrying was that we knew of people who we felt, as over 70s, had worse health problems than us and they hadn't even had the email and just couldn't get through on the phone numbers either.

We did get a slot for tomorrow, sooner than we needed but it was that or nothing. I checked with other people and bought a few things for them, though now it will be difficult for me to deliver them.

This was a day when the UK went into a serious lockdown. Only able to go out for food and medication, only to go out alone or in groups of 2 or families. This has been necessary as the nation refused to believe the news reports from other countries about the severity of coronavirus and went out in their droves to popular places over the weekend.

Let's hope we are all here to look back on these entries in our journals. Stay safe everyone x

Social distancing Day 9. Good thing today: Online groceries.
