Ice on the stream

Today we took a walk down to our nearest lake, and then followed the stream up the valley to check out the beaver dams.
Along the way there was several stretches with free running water, and new(ish) ice.
To get an idea of the scale I left the old blades of grass in the picture.  In the extra there is a detail of this ice, and without the grass straws it is hard to get an idea of scale.
