Social Isolation
UK Lockdown starts
We needed to take important documents to our solicitors in Cardiff City Centre mid morning and is was extremely quiet. Almost deserted.
Afterwards we checked in on my dad near Penarth, Cardiff. He's an exceptionally fit 87 year old and is isolating himself. Working on his front garden we spoke at a distance of 20 feet and he said he needed a couple of food items. Both the local Morrisons and Aldi were well stocked and quiet. We returned with the items, put them on the doorstep, rang the bell and retreated. He waved a thanks and we were off. Just so strange that we cannot enter the house for an indefinite period.
We stopped at Penarth seafront. It was very quiet with people keeping apart. I took a photo' of the beachfront and pier and it was straight back home.
We Video phoned the daughter and granddaughter tonight. We have made the decison not to visit or have Amelia until all the isolation issues are over. Mrs BB was tearful.
Social Isolation is real and it's here now. We are at war with something we cannot see. Very strange times.
