One Inch At a Time
I took this photo of a rather handsome little inchworm with my phone, at the DogPark this morning. Inchworms are the larval stage of the Geometer Moth. The Inchworm has a rather unique way of getting from point A to point B, reaching forward with it's front legs and then scooting it's abdomen until it's abdominal legs meet it's front legs. Got that? I know...way too much information! The larvae are voracious eaters and can almost totally defoliate a tree if it's heavily infested.
