Davie Cooper

A month or so ago I thought I would blip the Davie Cooper statue to mark the 15th year since his untimely death.  I thought it was yesterday and that I would miss it by a day but it turns out it was in fact today -  23rd March 1995.  

He probably won't mean much to blippers outside this part of the world but he was a particulally gifted and talented footballer and a real gentleman. Dutch international  Ruud Gullit described Cooper as one of the greatest players he had ever seen.

Well I haven't mentioned the 'C' word at all today but someone did point out to me that The Simpsons predicted it over 10 years ago.
