Garden Hellebore

After yesterday's cheat here is a real flower that is in our garden. I pulled away the garden waste bag that had been blown on the flower bed and this is what was underneath. It has had a bit of protection from the snow as a result of being covered up.

Legend has it that in witchcraft the hellebore is believed to have ties to summoning demons. So be careful what you wish for when you in the garden and near one of these.

In Greek mythology Melampus of Pylos used hellebore to save the daughters of the king of Argos from a madness that caused them to run naked through the city crying, weeping, and screaming.

Well I have signed up for a few weeks of yoga. I thought I had reasonably strong core muscles but now I am not so sure. I can confirm I cannot balance on one leg and I fail to see why one would want to touch ones toes.
