Flowering Currant

Today's the day …………………. to be apart

A beautiful sunny spring day today which lifted the spirits and made you forget that all was not right with the world.

Of course, we're lucky that, if you have to, this is a lovely place to isolate yourself.  The garden is getting a lot of attention, as I imagine most gardens are just now.  Everything seems to be bursting into life - like this flowering currant which was fairly dripping with flowers.  Apparently they are an excellent early source of nectar for bees - and I saw lots of big bumblebees out and about.

Mothers' Day today - and probably lots of cancelled lunches and other planned treats.  But I had phonecalls from both of my two and I was very happy with that ………………….
