Mothers' Day

Our church has a streamed service on Sunday mornings for people who can't make it to the church, and as we are now closed due to the virus, it is a real blessing.  It must have been very strange for Gordon, our minister, to preach to a church empty except for one or two key figures.  However, his sermon was uplifting in this dangerous time.

Andrew telephoned from Sainsbury's and asked if we needed anything so I got some milk, bread and bananas to top us up.

Have been out in the garden a lot today as the sun is streaming down, trying to keep up the steps, but also sitting on the deck in the sunshine, very pleasant.  While I was out there I received a bouquet from Gary and Izzy, and telephoned them my thanks and had a good long chat with Gary.

And then Cali arrived with the most beautiful bouquet of spring flowers, and some wonderful gifts.  We talked through the window with her on the deck.  Far too much.  And the promise that when this self isolation is over we will go out for an amazing afternoon tea.  Something to look forward to.

I am a lucky mum!
