And the onset of slight dose of cabin fever, the hills have disappeared once again into a mixture of low cloud and smog, the air gone that familiar blue grey, tones of discouragement. It's odd, there are no restrictions upon movement here but, from what we seem to understand of the virus, it seems to be sensible to avoid crowds, to keep your distance unless there's a need for proximity. I do wonder what others are thinking, what proportion of the populace will just ignore the advice and the obvious changes necessary to our behavioural patterns.
A few walks and wanders are embarked upon, masked and shielded by solitude, trying to kickstart my brain but failing. These are odd times I think, reliant upon others and with safety nets fraying under the blade of the market economy and the imbalance of social perspective. Here I think that it's not too bad, there's a definite sense of response and individual responsibility but back in Scotland it seems that the numpties are out in force, on the road, the beach, the supermarket. content to risk the health and lives of others for their own gratification. The acolytes and propagandists of opinion over fact have disseminated their shit across the airwaves for so long that, to some, it's just an accepted truth rather than something to be questioned and argued against.
But now the storm is come...
