Equinox
Dear Adam
The wine looks good. We still haven’t been off the podere since we arrived the day before the lockdown. We’ve both found the anxiety of counting off the days before last contacts quite exhausting. And we’ve food enough to be going on with. Best to get beyond peak contagion this weekend and see where we are at the peak number forecast around 28th March. Rather to my surprise the wine shop in Poppi is open and can do a delivery.

A cold blast is on its way just as blossom breaks and leaves emerge. Will it be a cruel year climatically as well as epidemiologically?
One wonders in the small silent hours where it will all end. But in the morning we press on, slightly dazed with the great weight of sadness and the respect and pride we feel for the people in whose midst we live.
793 deaths today. 793. A massacre.
