Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2020 Wednesday —Looking South

We officially started our “quarantine/self-isolation” this past Sunday, but Mr. Fun actually went into the grocery store Tuesday (yesterday); I don’t think that qualifies as complete isolation, but we needed supplies (weren’t able, though, to get much — ugh).

So today we went out for a drive and actually parked at the Cayucos pier and walked a few city blocks. Didn’t get close to anyone.

This photo was taken from above the off-ramp on Hwy.#1 that we use to get to our house when we are traveling north. A car is on the off-ramp in this photo. The street next to it leads to the water treatment plant and there are no vehicles on it in this photo.

The city officials have managed to hinder anyone from building on the hills above Cayucos, which are on the east side of the highway from the community, so we drove up a seldom used path of pavement to look south toward Morro Rock to capture this photo.

There were once planned lots in the hills; they are referred to now as “paper” lots because no utilities are planned and no paved roads. Hopefully the hills here will never look like the hills of Laguna Beach or San Clemente.
