Protection

According to eastern tradition, the dragon is good and benevolent.
In the west, the dragon is a symbol of evil and darkness.
I prefer the Eastern interpretation. 
You can see the good interpretation in the photo too, road sign with "forbidden entry", a protection against all kinds of accidents.
