I avoided people today by getting to Waterhead early (about 9.15). Popped into Tesco on the way back for the daily shop. I was going to have added it as an extra but my phone and laptop aren't talking at the moment. Neither were people! There wasn't the usual 'good morning' from those I passed even though we were well apart. 

I've postponed/cancelled what was going to be my last supermarket shop in Kendal for some time. It was a long way to go just to find that some of the goods I wanted weren't in stock. I'll plan meals a few days ahead and shop locally.

On that subject, there was a queue outside the butchers this morning with people standing at least 2 metres apart.
