middle parting....

sad news to start our day here as my Aunt, my mums older sister, passed away this morning after a battle with cancer. Even though it was expected, it's never easy to deal with.

So have been very grateful for spending some time in the garden today watching the comings and goings of wildlife - discovered this  blackbird has started to build a nest in a huge clump of ivy so that means one less pruning job for us! It was also enjoying splashing about in the bird bath - loved the middle parting of her feathers as she was drying off!
