Invincible Quince

My invincible quince determines to survive -
Yea, more - to thrive,
Despite my fruitless quest to kill it off.

And now its deep pink blossom makes me glad -
I must be mad,
Ever to have thought it had to go.

We'll live in peace, although my secateurs
Will continue to restrict its vicious spurs.
