High Alert

We do sit at the top of the steps when she is gardening.  Because we can see right around the back yard, and we can get a flying leap down onto the lawn should the occasion demand.

You'd be surprised how often the occasion is demanded.  SHE doesn't half curse.  Which is a bit of fun in itself. 

Because she has to get up from her weeding (and that can take several minutes depending on those things called knees).  Then she has to stagger down the garden, all the while saying UP .... UP  in a loud and demanding voice.  What we want to know is, do the neighbours think she is louder than us.  (UP means we have to get back onto the top step again.  And sometimes we does, and sometimes we doesn't).
