I spent this afternoon...

... in Ripon, including a visit to my optician, following up on last week's cataract operation.

I wandered around, taking photos in the Cathedral grounds. This was an angle I hadn't used before, looking up some steps through an old gateway, at the South side of the building. In the lovely afternoon liight, I also took the magnificent West front view of the building (see the extra).

You will have noticed I have had to reduce my commenting since my operation, because I find close focussing difficult; please accept my apologies. The main purpose of my visit to the optician today was to arrange some specs to improve this situation until I can have the other eye operated on.
