Change of scenery

I had van problems this morning, a leaky coolant system led to me having to wait at the lab until the first key holder appeared before I could get in to access the keys to a replacement. This lead to me leaving about an hour late.

I phoned my colleague, Bill, who collects at Stranraer and meets me at Abington Services to hand the samples over. Bill suggested that he could meet me at Beattock instead, that would save a bit of time. This meant that my quickest way home was up the A708 from Moffat to Selkirk. I enjoyed the change, but sometimes find it hard to believe that this is an A class road.
