An incident

There is a 90 degree corner on the road at the bottom of our driveway. Over the years we've lived here at least half a dozen accidents have happened there, mostly caused by excessive speed. Tonight was yet another one. We did not hear anything, just saw the emergency lights and commotion. 
A van was on it's side, the occupants seemingly ok. We walked down to see what was taking place. Our recycling can, set on the curb for tomorrow morning's pick - up, was smashed under the overturned van.
Just thankful no one was badly hurt.
