"till the boys come home"
"Though your lads are far away,
they dream of home.
There's a silver lining,
through the dark clouds shining!"
The morning after the night before! Safe to say no sore head for me but no doubt there was a few this morning in that group of party goers who were here last nite!! :)
Low on blip creativity today so this is a picture of my favourite war time poster! I love it that much that I have it in postcard size and as a coaster design! A copy of the poster used to hang in my secondary school history classroom and I was so intrigued by it!
In the same way that Lord Kitchener needed you, so I have reached the point where I need my motivation to return to me so I can make a start on a dissertation re-write for the end of Feb! Eek! However, the end result is publishment so it shouldn't be too difficult to get settled back into uni mode!
On my hunt for suitable war time lyrics as a title today, I discovered that there is a 2nd verse to the classic "Bicycle built for two" song and it goes something like this:
"Henry, Henry this is my answer, true
I'm not crazy over the likes of you.
If you can't afford a carriage,
Forget about the marriage!
I won't be jammed,
I won't be crammed,
On a bicycle built for two!"
Perhaps he should try and woe her with a motorbike or even a car instead?!! I never knew this verse existed!
