EB daffodil

I can usually rely on a daffodil for an emergency blip at this time of year. Haven’t done anything today or taken any photos. So much I could’ve done but rain and inclination got in the way.
Happy Birthday to Gemma, we took her presents round last night and I’d included a pack of toilet rolls as they seem to be everybody’s ‘must have’ item at the moment, Maybe they’ll be appreciated in the coming weeks.
Schools in England are set to close from Friday with special provision for the children of emergency workers. That’s all well and good but school only runs from 9-3 and as most of the before and after school clubs have already closed and many of these children would normally be picked up by grandparents the gesture only goes so far to help.
I’m finding irony in the list of ‘essential’ workers - shop workers, delivery drivers, hospital cleaning and portering staff - no doubt they are all very essential but only a few weeks ago they were in the category of staff being belittled as ‘unskilled’ ‘low paid’ workers by the very same government who are now having to acknowledge their worth.
