Waulkmill Bay

A walk through Hobbister to Waulkmill Bay. I knew the tide would be low and like to photograph the sands and the changing shapes the tide makes. Not a great deal around birdwise- a few stonechat, couple of raven, lots of oystercatchers and redshank, greylags and curlews, a single red-breasted merganser and one razorbill still in winter plumage. The tanker is the Petroatlantic and another, the Navion Oceania, is right behind her.
