Mind the gap

Our ancient bridge across the ford in Braughing went to the scrapyard yesterday. Sadly I missed it being removed, even though it was meant to be today. So this morning the shiny, new replacement was in situ but there’s a lot more work before we’re allowed to cross. Some locals say it’s too modern and black (the old one was white) but I rather like it.
