Blues point tower in the blue hour
Blues Point tower at McMahons point is somewhat of an historic site. Fairly recent history I would add. It is that tall building blocking my view of the Harbour bridge. Most people I know think it is an eyesore and ugly building. It houses 144 apartments. You would have fabulous views over the city. A 3rd floor apartment with two bedrooms sold for $1.43 million about 3 years ago. I believe that a first floor apartment is currently for sale but the price is not disclosed.
It was the brainstorm of a famous Sydney architect, Harry Seidler. It was completed in 1962 and North Sydney Council has a heritage listing on it. Which will dash the plans of those who want it demolished.
If you want to read more about it, see here
This is a three image panorama stitched in lightroom taken from Balls Head this evening. I hope it fits the challenge of historical. Thanks to steveng for hosting this week.
