Rainy morning view with a mug of tea.
The challenge to those of us over 70 is to provide a daily blip photo whilst negotiating social and self isolation.
Some are in apartments, like a friend of mine, who has been asked, as have all the other residents in the Retirement Complex, not to visit their neighbours.
We have the luxury of a long garden.
There will be times when we go out for a walk, but not taking in our usual coffee stops. I intend to purchase a small vacuum flask on-line so that will provide us with an alternative! I discovered that the one we have had for a long time, leaks.
In the mean time our church community group have already contacted us about bringing any shopping we may need.
Our regular shopper, who came yesterday, has underlying health problems, and says he will self isolate if necessary.
The church is live streaming a service on Sunday, with a handful of musicians and just a speaker.
Our church community small groups, who meet during the week, are having them by Skype. I will have my usual French conversation class with our tutor and others, also on-line next week. Our tutor has the challenge of being self employed, and faces loss of income.
We had a Facetime session with our son and wife from Bristol last night. He is now having to work from home, as is my nephew who lives in London. Challenging times.
Hope all of you out there negotiating the way forwards keep safe and keep posting photos.
They are an encouragement to all of us to keep going with hope towards the day when we can all breathe a sigh of thankful relief.
