Spring Can't Be Too Far Away

As we all prepare to be distancing from friends and acquaintances, spring will still happen.  Our neighbors invited us over for Irish Stew and Corned Beef and Cabbage, and against all advice we went.  No one was coughing, sniffling or otherwise seemed ill so we can hope that we will survive.

I finally went to the store and semi-stocked up for a couple of weeks of meals today after hearing we may be asked to not leave the house except for extreme necessity.  I have to say I was appalled at the condition of the stores - It looked like some kind of virageddon.  So many empty shelves.  No meat to speak of except for some lamb and ground beef.  All tomato products (canned) wiped out except for a few cans of organic (expensive).  Being Italian, I was trying to buy the ingredients for pasta sauce.  So we'll have premium ingredients.  There were plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables though, I guess they are not deemed staples.  There was no flour or sugar, people planning on baking?  There was toilet paper and paper goods, though not my favorite kind.  Bathroom cleaner too.  I think we'll be okay and walks with a camera in the fresh air with no people are encouraged.
