The opposite of the state of that view

I had to pop up into town for a couple of things today (including a gas cylinder refill for the fizzy water maker). I popped into John Lewis, thinking I might find a skype headset for those lovely online meetings, but no such luck. I will have to buy one online. But it gave me the opportunity to get the opposite of the state of that view. You can see our kitchen window in this picture if you know where to look, and probably our balcony where i take those photographs if you look closely enough.

There were signs of things slowly "shuttering" up in town, although Lakeland was surprisingly busy. John Lewis, and especially the café, was quiet, although ironically they have signs up saying that they are in the last stages of their renovation - presumably with a view to opening up again on the other side. Give it another week, and things will be really quiet. Ironic for JL given how long it's put up with the St James renovation going on around it. Blipfoto is going to become an important way of documenting how we live through these unprecedented times, even if most people - quite rightly - are not providing a day by day commentary on the political side of things, or even the creep of the virus itself.

This evening we watched The History Boys, and signed up to watch the Berlin Philarmonic concerts, as well as belatedly signing the TV into youtube. I haven't gone as far as a Netflix subscription yet. I probably won't.
