Dick Turpin!

Today was the first time I noticed the sign on the door of this property in Thaxted. it’s called Dick Turpin’s House. I know a local pub also has links to Dick Turpin.

I had a trip into Thaxted for a regular GP appointment, and they were taking it very seriously. Every person who came in had to stand away from the desk, and then answer questions like airport security, do you have a fever, do you have a cold, do you need to be here.  I then went to the local shop, and was shocked how much the stock had been depleted since Friday. I was asked to get some fresh ginger and garlic by an elderly neighbour, and was amazed that these were the only fresh things in stock!
