Casting a long shadow (MM321)
One of the things I have gained from Blipfoto is the willingness to observe the play of the light as I am going about day to day tasks. I came across this long shadow in one of the narrow lanes leading into the village.
Hope it fits in with the theme for Mono Monday, and thanks to ApolloFly for hosting.
Sadly - the Bourton on the Water blipmeet has been postponed - hopefully we can re-arrange it for September.
I have spent part of today cancelling our Camera Club meeting, which would have been tomorrow evening, Gill has done the same for her choir practice ... concerts cancelled too. Our daughter now can't see patients face to face so she will be dealing with telephone and possibly video consultations for the next week or so. Her husband, now recovering from man flu, has taken to walking up and down their garden and out to their drive in an effort to get some exercise, one of their neighbours came to check he was ok this afternoon. Our son is now panic buying resistance bands and a pull up bar as his gym is off limits, possibly for several weeks.
On a more positive note, we did have the inaugural meeting of the Glosters Green socially distant gardening society this afternoon ... this involves several of us tidying front gardens while waving to each other, or standing far apart while talking. Gill swapped strawberry plants for eggs. We have one elderly neighbour and two who live alone so that might well become our way of keeping an eye on each other over the next few weeks.
