Mixed emotions

This last couple of weeks have been trying to say the least. I’ve been ill, one of the pups has been poorly and on Friday Jager had to go under anaesthetic to check out a problem with her ears. Vet found a heart murmur as well as the fact she appears to have No eardrums, effectively making her partially deaf? She seems to hear her treat bag rustling so hopefully it’s not too bad. Waiting on other test results to come back and then we can see what the problem is.

Mum has took a big step back with the dementia which has been difficult. But we have adjusted a few things so hopefully things will settle. Woke up this morning with a banging head cold. Feel like poop, heard Boris wants the over 70’s to self isolate ... wonder if he realises that due to his decimation of our health service most of us who care for someone without any help have been isolated for some time! What’s another 4 months?

Sorry to sound “arsey” but it’s been a tough few weeks and I really don’t need to be ill again just now. The main worry is Matty, the issues over in Iraq are giving me too many sleepless nights. (See Iraq update) only another 100+ nights to go! Hope you guys are all staying well and safe x

Iraq update
After Matty’s camp was bombed on Wednesday and the loss of life including his friend Brodie he also found out his best buddy has lost a leg in the blast.
Last night his camp was attacked again and 5 coalition personnel injured, 2 critically. He goes back tomorrow, flying from Brize Norton to complete his tour. The situation is escalating in Iraq and it’s not helping that his camp is the most bombed in Iraq. (Camp Taji)
Not sure how we will cope while he’s away, I’m getting greyer by the day. Il be glued to the news channels in the hope that it calms down. I’m in awe of all our boys and girls who are there, who are heading back knowing that they may not come home.
Please keep Matty and all serving personnel in your prayers. I need him home safe.
