Paddling

A rather overcast day but we did a morning walk involving a long circuit to the field to avoid the very muddy back entrance.  There were many magnolia trees in full bloom en-route - such a cheerful sight.  Once in the field Merlin gambled around chasing wood pigeons and leaping over the water filled ditches.  We took a closer look at the fruit trees in the community orchard.  The blossom I photographed yesterday was on a damson tree, but all the other fruit trees - apple, pear and cherry - were still far from showing any signs of flowering.  We returned home via the stream where Merlin has a paddle to wash his feet.  Here Andy is trying to persuade him to smile for the camera (O:  

Other than another short afternoon walk, the day has been one of catching up with a few desk based chores.  I managed to FaceTime Dad this afternoon - a first for us and it worked very well.  We'll have to do more of it.
