New Stick

Got home from Corsica today. On the way back home from Heathrow I had a text from my brother to say that Mum had slipped while getting out of a chair, fallen and couldn't get up. My niece was with her at the time and called my brother after trying to help Mum up.

The ambulance arrived around an hour after I got back and took her, with Rosalina keeping her company, to A&E. My brother took me there and after a couple of hours and a couple of x-rays the doctor decided nothing was broken. I'd forgotten to bring her stick but I hadn't thought she'd be coming home. They found a stick and made sure she was mobile before releasing her to come home. Looks as though I'll have a few unexpected holiday days to take.
