Beside the Seaside

We competed at the West of England Brass Band Association contest in Torquay today and great credit must go to the volunteers who made this possible in the current circumstance. Seventy-nine brass bands over the weekend are competing in five sections (divisions in football terms). 

We're in the first section, the second tier, and came 10th out of 17 - of course we'd hoped for better but to be fair our performance wasn't as good as we could have played and many of our opponents were very good. We concluded the day with beer and curry so it wasn't all bad :-)

I did find time to wander along the sea front and around the harbour which was pleasantly bracing.
