Beyond the spikes, there is hope.

The news today isn't great for those of us over 70.
A good friend of mine who lives nearby rang in somewhat of a panic, needing reassurance.
On the phone for 35 minutes. 
We get so much conflicting advice at the moment. 
  In the meantime our cheerful robin is a regular sight now by the front window. Busy as ever. 
The nuthatch has been coming into the back garden for seeds and chopped nuts from the feeders.

The trees in the school grounds opposite are showing a fine filigree of green. 
I thought about how we are all wondering how much more the virus will spike in the coming weeks........and the hope that eventually it will recede.
